LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in Germantown on Monday.

Louisville Metro Police say officers were called to a shooting on Charles Street at about 8 p.m. Monday.  When they arrived, they found a woman in a garage with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was 22-year-old Sienna Summers-Miller.

Police had originally called it a death investigation, but it is being investigated as a homicide.

Jaclyn Fultz, a childhood friend of Summers-Miller, said she's heartbroken.

"I'm checking all the social media as soon as I wake up. We're all texting. Like as soon as we get any information, we are sharing it with each other. We would love for there to be justice served," Fultz said. "We couldn't find anything on the news for a couple of days.

"She was one of the most beautiful people, inside and out, that I've ever known."

Summers-Miller's Facebook page uses the last name "Treeflower" on her profile picture. Fultz said it's because her friend was a free spirit.

"It fit her perfectly," Fultz said. "She was the biggest flower child. She loved everyone. She accepted everyone."

Which is why all of this is still so shocking and hard to believe for Summers-Miller's friends and family.

"I just would love some closure, and I know everyone would," Fultz said.

LMPD homicide detectives are now looking for suspects in the case. If you have any information, you can call the department's anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD.
