Officials identify man killed in triple shooting near Hikes Point
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Officials have released the name of a man who died in a triple shooting that happened Friday night near Hikes Point.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Ralph Jeffries III, according to Deputy Coroner Michael Haag. Officials say Jeffries suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The shooting was reported at 8:39 p.m. Friday in the 3600 block of Stanton Boulevard and Noe Way, which is between Louisville's Bon Air neighborhood and Hikes Point.
Two men were found inside a vehicle at the scene with gunshot wounds, according to LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley.
Police say Jeffries and the other victim were taken to the hospital. Jeffries was admitted in "serious condition" and later died.
Authorities say shots were fired at the victims by someone else in another vehicle. There's no info on a suspect nor the vehicle where the shots came from.
According to officials, a 10-year-old victim was taken to a hospital after being grazed by a bullet, but police say the injury is "very very minor." The child was in another car that was not related to the two other vehicles involved in the shooting.
There have been no arrests and police do not have any suspects.
