Last Thursday, the state House and Senate passed and Gov. Andy Beshear signed House Bill 594, which outlaws what proponents call "skill games" and critics call "gray games."
In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Franklin Circuit Court, the companies call for a judge to block the new law.
Games such as Burning Barrel, manufactured by Pace-O-Matic, were the subject of a pricy lobbying battle during the last legislative session.
