LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The feeling of Christmas is in the air and so was the sound of motorcycles, all to make the holidays brighter for children in the area.

Sunday was the 41st annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run, sponsored by the Kentucky Motorcycle Association.

Motorcyclists started in Pleasure Ridge Park off the Greenbelt Highway and headed past Iroquois Park, around the University of Louisville campus and Churchill Downs and ended at the Kentucky Expo Center.

Toys were collected at the start and end of the ride. More than 100 bikers took to the streets to participate in the ride.

"We are thankful for everything we get," Cletis Evans, Louisville Toys for Tots Coordinator, said. "When you take care of anywhere from 16,000 to 17,000 kids each and every year, every toy counts, and we are really glad to have these people out here."

Toys can be dropped off at any fire department or Mission BBQ restaurant until Dec. 2.
