LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- When it comes to finding a unique gift or product, often buying local from a small business can stretch a dollar far in a local economy.
On Saturday, the Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) hosted the South Points Buy Local Fair at the Iroquois Amphitheater.
The fair helps encourage people to find diversity and products. Fifty south Louisville independent businesses were on hand to showcase what the area has to offer when it comes to a small business.
"We love to have this public event where people can come out and learn about all the businesses and of course spend some money too and the nice thing is that all that money will stay and recirculating right here in the neighborhood," said Jennifer Rubenstein, Executive Director of LIBA.
Along with vendors, there were health screenings, music, a silent auction and a kid's area.
