LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a downtown New Albany bank.

Police Chief Todd Bailey said it happened Friday afternoon at the Chase Bank on West Spring Street.

Once on scene, witnesses told police a man walked into the bank and gave the clerk "a threatening note demanding money."

After being given "an undetermined amount of cash," Bailey said the man fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a "tall slim Black male" over six feet tall, and possibly between the ages of 40 and 55, Bailey said.
