LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A juvenile is dead after a shooting in the Chickasaw neighborhood Tuesday night, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Sgt. Matt Sanders, a spokesperson for LMPD, said the shooting happened in the 3400 block of Garland Avenue around 9:19 p.m. That's near Louis Coleman Jr. Drive and South 35th Street.

Once on scene, police found a juvenile lying in the front yard of a home with a gunshot wound and "was beyond help," Sanders said. The victim, whose age is unknown at this time, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's unclear at this time what led to the shooting. LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but had no suspects and had made no arrests.
