LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A popular Louisville restaurant is closed for the foreseeable future after a fire interrupted dinner service over the weekend.
It was believed the fire started in the Airbnb above Enso on Frankfort Avenue, but Enso confirmed Monday it started in the kitchen. The Louisville Fire Department said fire spread to the first floor wall Friday evening just after 9 p.m.
No one was hurt and everyone was able to evacuate safely.
It was a packed house at the time and guests included a celebrity, Jack Harlow.
Enso's Facebook page said it appreciated the swift response from the Louisville Fire Department and doesn't know how long it will be closed.
Enso was approaching the anniversary of its opening about a year ago.
The Japanese and southern style restaurant was recently named one of the best 25 new restaurants in the south by Yelp.
