Louisville man faces judge after alleged car chase

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man charged with leading police on an intense chase says he's not guilty.

19-year-old William Derksen faces burglary, theft, and other charges.

Police tried to pull over a car on Rockford Lane on Friday night. That car matched the description of a stolen vehicle.

Police say the driver took off and an officer fired his gun.

No one was hurt.

LMPD's Public Integrity Unit is looking into why the officer fired his gun.
