LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian Sunday night.
According to a release from Louisville Metro Police, the crash happened about 10 p.m. at 9th and Kentucky streets.
A preliminary investigation showed that a male was in the northbound lanes of 9th Street, when he was hit. It is not clear if the victim was trying to cross the intersection. The unknown driver did not stop or try to help. No other vehicles were involved.
Officers tried to help the victim, who was unconscious. He was taken to UofL Health Hospital in downtown Louisville where he died.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is handling the investigation.
