Reese's 'candy converter' will swap unwanted candy for peanut butter cups

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some trick or treaters in New York will have the option to exchange unwanted Halloween candy for peanut butter cups.

No need to despair if your toddler's bag of candy had a lot of duds. If you're not happy with the candy haul, Reese's has you covered. The company has announced plans to set up its "candy converter" on Fifth Avenue in New York starting Wednesday afternoon.

Reese's officials say the machine will exchange up to 10,000 cups for other candy for about five hours, or until supplies run out.
