LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- With the holiday season right around the corner, UPS is hosting hiring events this week in hopes of filling about 1,500 seasonal positions in Louisville.
The first event was held Friday, and a second will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the UPS Employment Center on National Turnpike.
The shipping giant is looking for full- and part-time positions, including warehouse workers, driver helpers and seasonal support drivers.
"The different positions that we have, if you're coming in as a warehouse worker, it's going to be $21 an hour," said Alex O'Daniel, UPS talent acquisition manager. "IF you're interested in driver helper, it's going to be $18.40 and then, if you're interested in a seasonal support driver, then it's going to be $23 an hour."
UPS said its seasonal positions can also lead to permanent employment.
Those attending the hiring events should take two forms of ID with them. If you can't make it in-person, you can still apply online.
