When young people are reckless enough to fire guns at a school bus stop — with no regard for the kids standing there — it's more than a police problem. It's a community crisis.

Here's what our viewers had to say:

"I feel it's time to bring in the National Guard for 30 days. Why not? Nothing else seems to be working."

"You can have all the meetings you want.

"But until the community, lifts this cone of silence mentality and starts ratting people out and calling the authorities whenever a crime or vandalism is being committed, then perhaps people will be held accountable for their actions. Report these people who are doing bad things."

"Somebody has to be held accountable. If there's no consequences, it will never stop."

"People know who that is in that neighborhood. They know exactly who that kid is. And they need to speak up. He killed some innocent woman who had two kids. And so it's ridiculous."

"A lot of issues with, not only the youth over in Louisville but also the adults, is actually having conflict resolution skills. That needs to be implemented, whether that is at a elementary school level and goes all the way up — but that is what seems to be the issue over there."

"Parents should be held accountable and these minor kids, if they're going to act like adults, treat them like adults."

"I have to agree with Bill Lamb. Louisville is having a moral compass issue. Fix the moral compass and you'll fix the community."

"I think parents need to be more involved in their children. It starts at home."

"Seventeen and under? Parents should be responsible. Let them do some time. Maybe it'll stop."

"On the issues with these kids out of control, throw their parents in jail and start fining them and it'll quit."

"This problem begins with home. Parents need to be more aware of where the children are and what they're doing."
