There are a lot of UK fans who are ready to fire their football coach Mark Stoops. He had a disappointing year of 4-8 and then capped it off with an embarrassing loss to Louisville.

But Mark Stoops shouldn't be a disappointment. He is not a great coach but he's not horrible either. He's just average.

Based on Kentucky's commitment to football — compared to Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and teams like that — where else could Kentucky realistically expect to be?

Here's what our viewers had to say:

"Mark Stoops. You say he's average? I say he's below average and he needs to hit the road. Buy him out. Do whatever it takes. Just get rid of him."

"They need to leave Mark Stoops alone. That man's a good coach. He's won almost 50% of his games. ... We played Georgia tough this year and other top teams. Go Big Blue!"

"When you get high explosive ball players, you got to know how to coach up to their level. And that's where Mark Stoops made his big mistake."

"I'd like to address Mitch Barnhart and say how about reducing the prices for the season ticket-holders. ... We're not getting a quality game except from the opposing team. How about giving us a break?"

"No matter what you're paid, no matter how good you are, all you can do is work with what you have."
