The statewide rate of positive cases was 3.44%.

Data show 370 Kentuckians currently hospitalized with COVID-19 and 92 being treated for the virus in intensive care units.

According to the state's vaccination dashboard, 1,319,323 Kentuckians have received at least the first dose of a vaccine to date. 

"I don't remember the last time that the number of new positive cases for residents was so low," Gov. Andy Beshear said.

Health officials confirmed 1,306 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday alongside 51 more deaths in which the virus was a contributing factor.
