For the third year in a row, Kentucky's real property tax rate has dropped. 

Starting Jan. 1, 2023, there will be a 6% tax applied to utilities at residences if it is not the customer's domicile, or primary, residence. Those services would include water, electric and gas. 

According to a letter from the state's Office of Property Valuation sent out to clerk's offices this week, the value of vehicles this year, compared to last year, is up about 40%.
