School officials said the plan to close Fayetteville, Heltonville and Springville elementary schools and convert Stalker Elementary into an early learning center at the end of the school year, is a matter of math.
Schools are closed Monday and Tuesday. Classes will resume on regular schedule by Wednesday.
The district announced that the school would be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week due to "increased cases of cold, flu, strep throat and other illnesses."
Parents and faculty were notified of the school's closing in an email sent out Friday.
