Kejon Owens rushed for a career-high 195 yards and a touchdown, Jessiah McGrew made two interceptions and Florida International beat Western Kentucky 25-6 on Tuesday night to snap a 10-game road losing streak. The last road victory for FIU came on Oct. 18, 2023. The Panthers also ended a five-game losing streak in the series against WKU, with their first victory since 2018. Keyone Jenkins passed for 184 yards and a touchdown for FIU (3-3, 1-1 Conference USA). Alex Perry caught three passes for 86 yards. Maverick McIvor threw three interceptions for WKU (5-2, 3-1) after entering with just two on the season. He was 20 of 31 for 159 yards. Marvis Parrish rushed for 74 yards.

Kaidon Salter passed for 169 yards and three touchdowns, and he carried it 13 times for 113 yards and another score to help Liberty beat Western Kentucky 42-29. Liberty (8-0, 6-0) has won its first four road contest of a season for the first time since 1997. Liberty, which entered ranked No. 2 nationally with 274.6 rushing yards per game, gained 323 yards rushing on 54 carries for an average of 6 yards. Quinton Cooley and Aaron Bedgood each added a rushing touchdown for Liberty. Salter had touchdown passes of 47 yards to CJ Daniels, 9 yards to Victor Venn and 27 to Treon Sibley. Austin Reed threw four touchdown passes for Western Kentucky (4-4, 2-2).
