LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The kickoff to Kentucky Derby 150 has come and gone, which means it's time to figure out what to wear for this year's running of the roses!

Jo Ross visited WDRB Mornings on Monday to offer some fashion tips ahead of this year's event.

This year is all about the color, according to Ross. Normally, some muted tones are seen in fashion at the Derby, but with it being the 150th this year, anything goes

All the outfits Ross brought in Monday with a team of ladies from Cosmo Models and Talent were from Von Maur. She spotlighted an array of seasons to accommodate any kind of weather.

With it being an anniversary year, don't be afraid to go "all out" or wear something you normally wouldn't wear.

On top of being fashionable, Ross also recommended to keep in mind comfort.

"You're going to be in your outfit for 12-14 — maybe even longer — hours," Ross said. "So some comfort will keep you happy."
