LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Nothing says holidays like a big family breakfast. And a one-dish breakfast makes it easy on the cook trying to spend time away from the kitchen. Kroger Chef Paul Dowell is armed with pork, soup and hash browns for what he says is a fantastic way to start the day!
The Best EVER Breakfast Casserole
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
1-20 oz. pkg. Southwestern Style Fresh Shredded Hash Browns
1-10.5 oz. can Kroger Cream of Celery Soup
1-12 oz. pkg. Kroger Frozen 3 Pepper Onion Blend
1-16 oz. pkg. Kroger Hot Italian Sausage
1-16 oz. pkg. Kroger Pork Sausage
6 large Eggs
1 pint Kroger Half and Half
1-8 oz. pkg.Kroger Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Sprinkle the 3 pepper onion blend over the hash brown layer.
In a large sauté pan, brown all sausage. Drain off any excess grease & pour browned sausage in an even layer over the pepper onion blend.
In a medium size bowl, combine eggs & ½ & ½. Whisk together to blend well. Pour egg mixture evenly over top of the cooked sausage.
Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese on top of the casserole.
Cover with foil (making sure to tent the foil so that it does not stick to cheese) & bake covered for 40 minutes. Remove foil & bake for another 10-15 minutes to brown cheese.
Serve piping hot with your favorite hot chocolate or coffee!
