LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Metro Police arrested a teen they say joined dozens of people blocking the road outside of a Long John Silvers in Shawnee.

Police say officers responding to the restaurant near 35th and Broadway observed approximately 50 people standing in the alley Saturday night.

According to an arrest report, officers have responded to that location for multiple fights and reports of gang activity involving the youth gang "YNO" in recent weeks.

When officers arrived, police say 18-year-old David Leach was standing in the parking lot of Long John Silvers and refused officers' orders to leave the location, even though allegedly he was not a customer.

Police say the group of 50 people alarmed nearby residents and prevented passing motorists from driving  through the crowded roadway.

Leach is charged with criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.
