LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Rapper Master P made a special stop while he was in Louisville this weekend.
He visited the home of Ki'Anthony Tyus.
The 9-year-old was shot at a local park and just got out of the hospital on Sunday.
Master P, who is also involved in WDRB's "Hoop It Up", said Ki'Anthony wanted to talk with him on the phone, but he wanted to show up in person and surprise him with a new pair of shoes.
"I got kids in my family that's dead or incarcerated at a young age, and we're here to help the kids," Master P said. "And we hope we can change this and let this be an example that we're killing our kids, and it's our future."
Ki'Anthony was shot in the leg while playing basketball recently at Ballard Park.
Police have not made any arrests.
