LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky State Police trooper fatally shot and killed Sunday night will be laid to rest in Radcliff. Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove, Ky., has released the funeral arrangements for Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder, who was shot and killed by a suspect after a traffic stop in Lyon County Sunday night.

  • Visitation 1-8 p.m. Thursday (9-17) at Stithton Baptist Church, 95 Park Avenue in Radcliff.
  • Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday (9-18) at Severns Valley Baptist Church, 1100 Ring Road in Elizabethtown.
  • There will be no visitation before the funeral Friday.
  • Burial at 2 p.m. Friday (9-18) at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 North Dixie Blvd. in Radcliff, Ky.

Leave Severns Valley Baptist Church, 1100 Ring Rd., Elizabethtown, Ky. 42701;

Turn left on Patriot Pkwy. (KY 361); 

Take immediate left onto Ring Rd. (KY 3005);

Follow Ring Rd. to Dixie Highway (US 31-W);

Proceed North on US 31-W through Elizabethtown and Radcliff;

End at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, 2501 N. Dixie Blvd., Ft. Knox, Ky. 40121
