AMBER Alert canceled after 1-year-old found safely
Police say the child was abducted in Gary by two subjects wearing masks, each armed with sawed-off shotguns.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A statewide AMBER Alert has been canceled after it was declared Tuesday night for the state of Indiana.
The Gary Police Department was investigating an abducted child from Gary, Ind..
They released a statement late Tuesday night saying:
"Baby Timothy Jackson Jr has been located. Details are still forth coming and will be forwarded as they become available.
"Our thanks to all who assisted in his safe recovery."
The child is Timothy Jackson, Jr., a 1-year-old black male. He's 32 inches tall and 28 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Police say the child was abducted around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday by two subjects wearing masks, each armed with sawed-off shotguns.
Police believe those suspects were 17-year-old Timothy Jackson, Sr., a black male, and 15-year-old Rosalinda Tecaxco, a Latino female.
The department says all three juveniles were found in an unoccupied residence on Dallas Street around 8:30 Tuesday night.
According to police, Timothy Jackson, Jr. was located in a bedroom along with his biological parents.
