LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kroger has launched a new online ordering platform in Louisville.

The grocery giant just launched the service at its Hikes Point location in Louisville.

You don't even have to go inside the store. All you have to do is order online, select from more than 30,000 items, choose a pick-up time, drive to the back of the store, and someone will come right out and load your groceries for you.

"It sounded too good to be true," said Samuel Miller, a frequent Kroger shopper.

It's called "ClickList" and the service costs $4.95 (during your first three trips, that fee is waived).  You can even use your Kroger card and apply coupons online.

Kroger associates handpick the order and store it until the customer arrives.

"It saves the customer a lot of time.  They're not spending an hour to an hour and a half in the grocery store," said Jennifer Smith, the E-Commerce Manager for Kroger's Louisville Division.

Customers can specify brands, cuts of meat and price ranges online.

But Kroger isn't the only business with this kind of service.

Companies like Amazon and Louisville-based ValuMarket have also taken the grocery world by storm, both of which deliver as well.

"Our customers have been asking for something like this for a while now," said Smith.
