LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Police are investigating a fatal shooting in southwest Louisville.

LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell says the victim in the shooting died this morning at University Hospital.

Authorities say the shooting happened on Schneble Circle at The Landing Apartments and was reported about 5:45 a.m. That's off Saint Anthony's Church Road near Doss High School. 

LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley says a man in his 20s or 30s was shot. 

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. There is no word on potential suspects.
