LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kennedy Bridge ramp to I-64 West is now open for traffic.

All lanes of the Kennedy Bridge are also open.

The ramp was initially expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. Crews with Walsh Construction have completed the final work necessary to reopen the ramp to traffic.

This is the last long-term ramp closure associated with construction on the Downtown Crossing portion of the Ohio River Bridges Project.

The ramp from I-65 South to I-64 West had been closed since December 2015.

Around 5,500 drivers use the ramp on a daily basis.
