LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Shepherdsville have arrested two people after a tire store robbery earlier this week.

According to a post on the Shepherdsville Police Department Facebook page, officers were called to the Big O Tires on North Buckman Aug. 9 on reports of a robbery.

Police say the suspects stole four tires, and the man driving the vehicle threatened to run over an employee, and then nearly struck the employee as he fled in his vehicle.

According to the Facebook post, the two were located minutes later in Hillview, and both were taken into custody without further incident.

Police arrested 36-year-old Jerry Mumford of Shepherdsville and charged him with first degree robbery. Shelley Clouse, 38, from Somerset, was also arrested and charged with robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers from the Hillview Police Department, the Pioneer Village Police Department, and the Bullitt County Sheriff's Office assisted Shepherdsville police.
