Breastfeeding mother told to cover up by St. Matthews restaurant manager

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman who was told to cover up while breastfeeding at a Texas Roadhouse in St. Matthews is now suing the restaurant chain.

In the lawsuit, Sadie Durbin said she suffered extreme emotional distress because of the incident. Durbin said a manager demanded she cover her breast and the infant's face with a napkin.

While she was eating at the restaurant with her family last week, the manager came up to Durbin and said "'Oh ma'am, we need you to cover up. We're getting a lot of complaints,'" Durbin recalled.

Kentucky law states "a mother may breast feed her baby or express breast milk in any location, public or private."

Texas Roadhouse says it's educating its staff about breastfeeding laws. Below is the full lawsuit:
