LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- ACT Louisville is putting a twist on the classic tale "The Ugly Duckling."

"HONK!" The Musical is coming to Saint Matthews Station beginning Friday, Oct. 27.

This production is based on the classic fairytale, "The Ugly Duckling" but with a special take about individuality.

"Today with kids under microscopes with social media, all of that, the story is really good about finding self-worth," said Beth Hall, executive producer of Act Louisville Production and the director of "HONK!"

Many children make up the cast of the musical, learning valuable skills like communication and confidence, all while having fun.

"It's just so wonderful working with these young kids, inspiring stars," Hall said.

This musical may be based on a kid's fairytale classic, but Hall said the musical is a comedy for all ages and has songs that will make you sing along.

"You're going to walk away singing the songs," Hall said. "You're going to walk away wanting to hug that ugly duckling."

"HONK!" The Musical debuts Friday, Oct. 27, at Studio 1A Theatre, 3900 Shelbyville Road. That's on the first floor of Saint Matthews Station.

Tickets start at $25, and you buy them here. There will be matinee and evening showings. For a complete list of show times and more information, click here.
