LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police Department officers will connect with residents across the city Tuesday evening as part of the annual National Night Out campaign.
The nationwide event is designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve by bringing neighbors and police officers together in a fun, family-friendly setting.
LMPD is hosting seven National Night Out events beginning at 5 p.m. at the following locations:
- Big Four Lawn
- Algonquin Park
- Southwest Government Center
- Americana Community Center
- Douglass Park
- Highview Park
- Walker Warren Park
Each event will feature free food, music, children's activities and giveaways. Community members will also have the opportunity to meet officers, ask questions and learn more about public safety initiatives in their neighborhoods.
National Night Out is held annually in communities across the country to encourage partnerships between residents and law enforcement while promoting safer, stronger neighborhoods.
