LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Lace up those sneakers as registration is now open for three popular races coming to Louisville this fall.
You can now register for Louisville Sports Commission's three fall races: The Louisville Pure Tap 5K, the Norton Sports Health 4-Miler, and the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon. Each race has a unique course and is for all fitness levels.
“We regularly see a flurry of training in the spring as people of all ages and abilities prepare for the city’s Triple Crown of Running, followed by the Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon and Marathon,” Greg Fante, president and CEO of the Louisville Sports Commission, said in a news release. “And while this uptick in healthy activity is great, many participants hang up their running shoes once Derby has come and gone. With our fall running races, we want to continue to encourage a mindset of year-round training.”
The Louisville Pure Tap 5K is on Sept. 7 at the historic Louisville Water Tower Park. This flat course runs east and west on River Road, starting and finishing at the Water Tower Park. Runner registration is $25 and increased to $30 on Aug. 12. Dogs are invited again this year to participate, which will cost an additional $10 fee. To register or for more information, click here.
