LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Non-profit organizations and teachers are taking advantage of nearly 5,000 books up for grabs.

It's the 14th annual Half Pint Library Book Drive.

The books were donated by people in the community and matched by Half Price Books.

4,700 books were expected to be given away Tuesday.

Some are excited for what the books can provide, not only for their classroom, but for everyone.

"The free books are great and we can add more each year to my library in my classroom as well as the school if they don't work in my classroom," says JCPS kindergarten teacher Jenny Cox.

The Half Pint Library programs has provided more than two million books nationwide over the past 14 years.
