LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â Another part of the old Milton Madison Bridge is about to come crashing down, but this time there won't be a front-row seat.
The third blast is scheduled for next Thursday. Explosives will bring down a 400-foot section.
Since it's so close to the Madison side, residents will be asked to stay indoors. Flyers will be handed out to those living within the 1,000 foot safety perimeter.
Drivers are currently crossing the new bridge, which is right next to the old one on temporary piers.
After this blast, there will be one section to still bring down. The final step comes later this year, when crews will slide the new bridge onto the renovated original piers.
