LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The maker of Buffalo Trace, Sazerac, is about to get bigger.
The company has announced it's buying 19 brands from Diageo.
The brands include Seagram's V.O, Yukon Jack, and Parrot Bay.
Sazerac is one of America's oldest family-owned, privately held distillers. It has operations in several states including Kentucky, Indiana and Louisiana, along with global operations.
The sale of the brands is expected to be completed by early 2019.
The former General Mills Pillsbury plant in New Albany that closed in 2016 is set to become a distillery and bottling facility for Sazerac in 2021.
