LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A gift to shoppers that comes once a year is finally here - Valentine's Day and Presidents Day on the same weekend. A double holiday weekend means big sales, but prices could be higher next time you go shopping.
The holiday weekend brings out some of the biggest sales of the year on furniture, mattresses, and appliances. Shoppers can also find sales on clothing and jewelry all at the same time.
Possible tariffs could soon make all of us longing for the Presidents Day sale prices. Right now, tariffs on China, Canada, and Mexico are on hold and pending more negotiations. People who shop on Temu are reporting already seeing new "duties" being added on to their direct-from-China purchases.
If you're on the fence about buying that new couch or refrigerator that you've been eyeing, you might want to jump on it and not wait until later this spring.
