LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Downtown Partnership has launched a new monthly appreciation program for downtown employees.
Downtown Work Perks started this week and continues through October. The event series will take place every fourth Wednesday in conjunction with Food Truck Wednesday.
The inaugural Downtown Work Perks will debut on May 28. The first 50 downtown employees to arrive will receive a free bag of fresh produce from Sunny Acres Farms.Â
There will also be live music by Logan Leet.
"Work Perks is a great way to say thanks to our Downtown workforce, and maybe attract some more people to come to the office who might otherwise work remotely," Rebecca Fleischaker, executive director of Louisville Downtown Partnership, said in a news release. "As the Downtown community continues to grow, fun perks like this make our city center a desired work environment by fostering workforce camaraderie and contributing to the vibrant street-level vitality that drives Downtown’s economic success."
The event series will feature free produce, gourmet popcorn, coffee, sweet treats and more, according to a news release.
People who want to receive the monthly perk will need to present a valid work badge, business card or workplace identification. The monthly offerings will be offered to the first 50 employees who arrive at the venue each week.Â
The produce market and additional vendors will remain open for additional purchases. The event will take place in the 200 block of S. 4th Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
