LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ā The Mexico Tipico restaurant on Dixie Highway that burnt down in February 2014 will be rebuilt as an El Nopal, according to Louisville Metro Planning & Design records.
The owner of the site at 6517 Dixie Highway, ER & JG LLC, filed plans Wednesday to build a 4,775-square-foot restaurant with 688-square-foot outdoor patio.
The application is signed by Gerardo Jaurequi, who was also one of the owners the Mexico Tipico.
There are 28 El Nopal restaurants in the Louisville-Southern Indiana area, according to its website.
