Ribbon-cutting ceremony held for 'I Love Tacos' new downtown location

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new taco spot is now officially open in downtown Louisville.

I Love Tacos held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday at its new location at the Falls City Market in the Louisville Omni Hotel, complete with food and margarita samples.

I Love Tacos is a family-owned restaurant focused on fresh ingredients. The first location opened in Jeffersontown in May 2020 during the pandemic, and was an instant success.

The restaurant, known for its Latin cuisine and drinks, serves burritos, tacos, salads, cocktails and more.

Owners said they are thankful to be part of the Omni family, and are excited to attract more customers to the downtown area.

"I think we bring in something different," Ernesto Rivera said. "We are a local-owned, family-owned restaurant, we are with the community. We work with them a lot. So I think we bring in something in downtown that it is missing."

I Love Tacos has three other locations: in Springhurst, the Highlands and Jeffersontown.
