LOUSIVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville football fans will soon have another dining option close to the action on game days.

Zaxby’s plans to open a new restaurant along Central Avenue, just a short walk from L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium.

The restaurant will be built on a currently vacant lot between Crittenden Drive and Floyd Street, according to Louisville Business First.

Company officials say construction is expected to begin early next year, with an opening targeted for mid-2026.

Planning documents filed with Louisville Metro show the project includes a nearly 3,000-square-foot restaurant on 1.5 acres, representing an investment of about $2 million.

Once completed, the new location will give fans another nearby option for a quick bite before tailgating or after games at the stadium.
