LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The city of Lexington is going out of this world in its latest appeal for tourists.
The Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau came up with an extraterrestrial guide to the city, inviting aliens to visit. City leaders went all out getting permission from the Federal Aviation Administration to beam a message to planets 40 light years away.
Lexington scientists used an infrared laser to send the message to the TRAPPIST-1 solar system.
