LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman is dead and another injured after a shooting and stabbing in Louisville's Park Duvalle neighborhood Tuesday evening.

Louisville Metro Police were called to the 1700 block of South 32nd Street around 7:30 p.m. on a reported shooting, department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said in a statement. That's near Dr. William G. Weathers Drive and Wilson Avenue, not far from Algonquin Park.

Once on scene, officers found a woman who had been shot and "began life-saving measures including applying a chest seal to the victim," Ellis said. EMS arrived and transported the woman to University Hospital where she later died.

While investigating, police were told a woman had arrived at University Hospital with a stab wound. Ellis said the woman's condition is unknown, but investigators believe she was injured at the same scene as the shooting.

Police are working to determine the "relationship between the parties involved." Ellis said investigators believe they have "all parties accounted for" in the incident. It's unclear if any arrests have been made.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.
