W. Chestnut St. shooting - 5.30.25

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two juvenile girls are in the hospital after being shot in Louisville's Russell neighborhood Friday. 

Louisville Metro Police were called to the 1500 block of West Chestnut Street around 5:30 p.m. on a reported shooting, LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said in a statement. 

Once on scene, officers found two juvenile girls who had been shot. Mitchell said both were transported to University of Louisville hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening. 

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating, but has no suspects and has made no arrests.
