LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Frankfort woman allegedly drove into a crowd of people Sunday while under the influence in Lexington.
According to court documents, officers in the area saw 20-year-old Kaydence Carpenter drive over a curb and into a group of people.
Carpenter then allegedly continued driving the wrong way down a street before being stopped by officers.
Police said she had bloodshot, watery eyes, her speech was slurred and she smelled like alcohol.
After her arrest, police found a fake ID.
Carpenter faces four counts of assault along with charges of wanton endangerment, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and possession of a fake ID.
She was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.
