LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The man found dead at McNeely Lake Park in Louisville over the weekend was identified Monday.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, 32-year-old Bilal Mbeirick, of Louisville, died from a gunshot wound.
Officer Adam Sears, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded Saturday just before 12:30 p.m. after receiving a report of human remains at the park.
Police didn't say at the time how the victim was killed.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.
