LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Jeffersonville are warning residents and commuters after a credit card skimming device was found Thursday at a gas station on a busy highway.

According to a post on the Jeffersonville Police Department's Facebook page, the device was found on a pump atĀ theĀ Circle K Fuel Station at the intersection of State Hwy. 62 andĀ Utica Sellersburg Road.

Many people who commute to Charlestown, Jefferson County, IndianaĀ and Madison, Indiana use this fuel station as well friends and family who use the Hwy. 62 corridor.

If you have purchased gas at a fuel pump at the Circle K on State Hwy. 62, you're urgedĀ to check your financial statements for unusual activity. To avoid potential fraudulent situations at fuel stations use cash or pay inside, many banks are using chip cards, check with your financial institution to see if you have the latest technology in credit/debit cards.
