LOUISIVLLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man is facing felony charges after police said he tied up a woman with rope before attacking her with a "sharp-edged weapon."
Christopher Rasheed, 57, is charged with first-degree assault and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.
According to Rasheed's arrest citation, officers responded Thursday to a home in the 4500 block of West Market Street.
The citation said Rasheed had tied a woman up with rope on her hands and feet and refused to let her leave.Â
Rasheed then allegedly attacked her with a "sharp-edged weapon," causing "serious physical injuries."
The arrest citation said Rasheed and the woman lived together at the time and had a prior "intimate" relationship.
Rasheed was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday but did not appear because he is hospitalized, according to court records. His arraignment was rescheduled for 9 a.m. Monday.
His bond is set at $50,000.
