LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Louisville Fire Department's Metro Arson Bureau is asking for the public's help identifying a person believed to have information about an arson that caused an estimated $200,000 in damage earlier this year.
The fire happened around 2:40 a.m. May 9 at 1338 Lynmar Drive, where the St. Matthews Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire.
When firefighters arrived, two detached garages were fully engulfed in flames.
Investigators with the Louisville Metro Arson Bureau later determined the fire had been intentionally set. Surveillance video captured two unidentified people at the scene, including one person whose image has now been released by investigators.
Officials said the person pictured is believed to have direct knowledge of the fire and are asking anyone who recognizes the individual to come forward.
