LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is behind bars facing a felony charge after police said he fired a gun in the parking lot of a southern Indiana Walmart.
The City of Madison Police Department said officers were called to the store on Ivy Tech Drive just before 7 p.m. Monday on a report that a man was firing a gun in the parking lot.
Once on scene, police found Dalton Rowlett, 25, of Madison, and took him into custody. Police said they recovered several spent shell casings and the gun Rowlett allegedly used.
Police said after speaking to witnesses and reviewing surveillance video, officers believe Rowlett fired into the air. No one was injured, and police said there is no threat to the public.
Rowlett was charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, which is a felony.Â
