LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man riding an e-scooter died two days after crashing into a vehicle in west Louisville.

Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded at 10:10 pm. Friday to a crash near 18th and West Market streets.

Police said a man riding an e-scooter was headed east on Market Street and did not stop at a traffic light.

The man crashed into a vehicle that had a green light while traveling north on 18th Street, police said.

According to police, the man was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to UofL Hospital with life-threatening injuries and died Sunday.

Police said the driver of the vehicle was not injured.

LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.
